Terms and conditions
1. Service
Letterino.ch creates a letter from the details you provide or takes your uploaded documents, and has them printed, put in an envelope and handed to the postal service by a print partner in Switzerland. For registered mail you receive the tracking number. Letters abroad are handed by the print partner to the postal service of the destination country or to an international postal service. Your contracting party is exclusively Letterino.ch; the print partner and the photo lab are our subcontractors.
2. No legal advice
Templates are general samples. You are responsible for choosing deadlines, recipient and content. You may only send content that is legally permitted and for which you hold the necessary rights.
3. Ordering and conclusion of contract
Ordering takes three steps: you enter the letter or upload documents, check the preview, recipient, delivery type and total price on the summary, where you can still change everything, then you pay with the payment provider. By completing the payment you place the order. We confirm it without delay by email; this concludes the contract. The confirmation contains the link to the status page of your order.
4. Prices and payment
The total price in CHF shown before payment applies. It depends on the letter (number of pages, colour, destination country, delivery type) and is a final price: printing, envelope, postage, any value added tax, the payment fee and our fee are included. Uploaded documents are printed in colour on A4; other formats are fitted to A4. Payment is made through our payment provider by TWINT, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. No subscription is concluded.
5. Charge
The amount is charged immediately when you order, even with a later send date. We hold the letter back until printing so that you can still cancel it.
6. Cancellation
Until printing, you can cancel the order on the status page: for 15 minutes after the order, or until the day of a chosen send date. We refund the amount less the payment provider’s fee, which is not returned to us.
After printing, the letter can no longer be cancelled. Swiss law provides no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases; as letters and photo products are made individually for you, we grant no right of return beyond cancellation. Mandatory rights of consumers resident abroad remain reserved.
7. Defects
If a letter or a photo product is misprinted or arrives damaged, report it within 14 days of receipt by email with a photo. We have the order reprinted free of charge. Deviations caused by your file or your details (resolution, cropping, address, content) are not a defect. Further claims are governed by clause 8.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the order concerned. We are not liable for delays, loss or damage caused by the postal service or other delivery services, nor for consequential loss (e.g. missed deadlines). For registered mail, the liability rules of the postal service apply. This limitation does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the operator in Switzerland; mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers (Art. 32 Swiss Civil Procedure Code and foreign consumer law) remain reserved.
10. Photos & gifts
With “Photos & gifts”, Letterino.ch has your photos printed by a photo lab on the chosen product (prints, poster, canvas, frame, card, mug, apparel, phone case, calendar) and sent by post to the address given. The lab produces in the EU, the United Kingdom or the USA, in each case in the recipient’s customs territory; orders to Switzerland and Liechtenstein are produced abroad. The total price in CHF shown before payment applies (production, packaging, shipping and all fees). We accept orders to Switzerland and Liechtenstein up to CHF 60 so that the recipient does not incur import duties; should duties nevertheless be levied, they are borne by the recipient. Photos are cropped to the product format as shown in the preview; colours may differ from your screen. Depending on the product, shipping is with or without tracking; production and postal transit times are the lab’s figures, not a commitment. If the shipment does not arrive within 30 days of dispatch, we have it produced again free of charge; not in the case of an incorrect or incomplete address. Cancellation is governed by clause 6 and is only possible until the lab has received the order. For deliveries to the EU, the product safety information (product, material, responsible supplier with postal and email address) on the product page and in the legal notice applies. You may only use photos for which you hold the necessary rights and whose content is permitted.
11. Automatic sending
With “Automatic sending”, each letter is billed individually at the price shown. Documents arriving by email or from your folder are printed only after you have confirmed them. For monthly letters we store, with your consent, a payment method with the payment provider and charge it per letter; you can stop the monthly sending at any time, there is no minimum term.
